Locum VR GP Indigenous Health - Kempsey, NSW

The position:

This facility features five GP consultation rooms and offers strong clinical support, including fellow GPs, a Registrar, three nurses, reception staff, Aboriginal Health Workers, and Visiting Allied Health professionals. You'll be working Monday to Friday only, with no on-call or weekend requirements. Appointments are booked at a minimum of 20 minutes each. The clinic uses Communicare software.

The location

Halfway between Sydney & Queensland border, you will find this charming river town known for its rich agriculture and for being the birthplace of the iconic Australian Akubra Hats. Make sure you visit the antique stores, indulge yourself at one of the many restaurants and cafes and of course learn about the local Aboriginal culture.  

Essential criteria

• FACRRM/FRACGP or VR qualifications and unrestricted AHPRA Registration
• Working with Children for NSW *mandatory
• Experience in working within an Indigenous health setting is preferred but not essential
