The opportunity

Join a dedicated multi-disciplinary team providing essential healthcare to both local communities and tourists in Central Australia. Based in Yulara and Imanpa, you’ll enjoy the support of fellow GPs, nurses, and Aboriginal Health Workers, with Communicare software and 20-minute appointment times ensuring quality patient care.

This is a Monday to Friday role, 8:30am–5:00pm, with no on-call or weekend work required. Multiple blocks are available, with a minimum two-week commitment.

How to get there

Fly directly into Ayers Rock (Uluru) Airport from major hubs including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Alice Springs. From there, Yulara is just a few minutes by shuttle or transfer. Travel to Imanpa is a short drive, with Ochre arranging all logistics to ensure smooth connections.

Essential criteria

  • Fellowship with RACGP and/or ACRRM
  • Current AHPRA Specialist GP Registration
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Experience within Aboriginal Medical Services desirable
  • Cultural awareness and respect for working within Indigenous communities
