Locum VR GP - Nelson Bay Fast Track Clinic

• Work from 10:00am - 19:00pm

The Opportunity

Head up the NSW coast and assist at this Fast Track clinic in Tomaree. This is a health service that provides short-term, one-off episodes of care for urgent but non-life-threatening health care needs and is not an emergency department. It will primarily be Cat 3-5 patients being seen with separate ED staff on site to cover the Cat 1-2 presentations.

Previous locum VRGPs have described the workload as very manageable, with a friendly team. The clinic operates using Best Practice software and offers $200/hour. There is also the requirement to complete a ward round at the beginning of each shift with it being a 12 bed ward.

Where this service is based out of the local hospital, you will be required to complete NSW Health credentialing, which we can assist with where possible.

The Location

This town is an easy 2.5 hours drive from Sydney, with its beautiful beaches, stunning sand dunes, coastal walks, national parks, pristine waters and a carefree, laid-back lifestyle. It is a substantial coastal resort town just inside the mouth of Port Stephens and its marina and wharf are the departure points for the ferries across to Tea Gardens and the excellent whale-watching tours that head out to the Tasman Sea.

Essential Criteria

You must have full AHPRA Registration and Australian working rights to be eligible for this position. Suitable for Specialist GP's.
