The Opportunity 

Take this opportunity to assist within a well-equipped health facility associated with NSW Health. This position provides an outstanding opportunity for doctors to secure contract work in a most desirable coastal location. The clinic uses Best Practice software and offers 15-minute standard consultation times. The patient load is a mix of booked appointments and Cat 3-5 patients from the Fast-Track clinic who will have been triaged to be the most suitable to be seen within the clinic setting (a Senior Rural Generalist is on site and covering the Cat 1-2 patients). The facility is based in a new a modern building where there is the fast-track clinic, 12 bed ward, radiology and pathology as well.

There is a full time practice manager who provides admin and reception support as well as a highly experienced nurse who work 3 days per week and who has been with the clinic for over 10 years.

$1400 is paid daily and a KM allowance / travel budget and accommodation negotiable as well. As the clinic is associated with NSW health, there are additional credentialing requirements to meet.

The Location

This town is an easy 2.5 hours drive from Sydney, with its beautiful beaches, stunning sand dunes, coastal walks, national parks, pristine waters and a carefree, laid-back lifestyle. It is a substantial coastal resort town just inside the mouth of Port Stephens and its marina and wharf are the departure points for the ferries across to Tea Gardens and the excellent whale-watching tours that head out to the Tasman Sea.
