Locum VR GP Ochre Health Bridport & Scottsdale

The Opportunity

There is a requirement at the Ochre Medical Centre in Scottsdale and neighbouring Bridport where you may need to work for up to 3 days across the week. At Scottsdale there is a team of VR GPs, those in training as well as nurse and admin support. It is a mixed billing clinic with Best Practice software and 15 minute standard consultation times. As for the Bridport clinic, it is an accredited family medical practice and a satellite clinic in Scottsdale. Bridport is a solo practice with nursing support across 2 of the days, with the 3rd day having no vaccinations or appointments requiring nursing assistance being booked.

 

The daily rate of $1200 is offered or 65% of billings paid if greater across the week. 4 patients are seen per hour. As a teaching practice that hosts registrars, resident doctors, and medical students, across all working days you may need to provide quality collegial support.

 

The usual hours of work will be 9:00am to 5:00pm with a requirement across each week between: 9 Sep - 27 Sep | 25 Nov -6 Dec | 23 Dec - 3 Jan 

The Location

Scottsdale is a small town on the north-east coast of Tasmania and it is the largest town between Launceston and Tasmania's East Coast known for its green fields, blue mountains, rich agricultural and forestry history. Whilst nearby Bridport is a popular beachside holiday destination that will surely give you a fun and memorable locum experience.

Essential Criteria

To be eligible for this role you must hold unrestricted Specialist AHPRA registration in the field of General Practice, with RACGP fellowship or equivalent. You must also have full working rights.
