Locum VR GP - Regional QLD

• $1800 per day or 70% of billings dependent on which is greater
• 30 Sep - 20 Dec & 6 Jan onwards
• Work alongside other GP's in this clinic that sees a full age range of patients

The Opportunity

Joining the permanent GPs, in this country practice you will see 4 patients per hour across a full age range and wide variety of cultures. With Best Practice software in use, hours of work are 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday and then 8am-4pm on Friday with a 1-hour lunch break from 12pm-1pm. There is nursing support across 2 days per week and this includes assistance with care plans. With a local mining industry, the permanent GP covers preemployment medicals so this will not be required. Within the block are physiotherapist and pathology services and an audiologist visits the clinic once per fortnight.

Paying $1800 per day or 70% of billings, this is an ongoing requirement until another permanent GP is available to join the team and although longer blocks of at least 4 weeks would be preferred, 2 week blocks of cover could also assist. They are looking for cover from the 30 Sep – 20 Dec and from the 6 Jan onwards.

A 2-bed self-contained unit is available in the local area along with flights and car being provided.

Although a busy and popular hub, this area retains its relaxed country charm where you are greeted with a nod and smile. With all amenities on hand, adventure in the surrounds also awaits. Whether that’s exploring the nearby coastline from Agnes Waters to Rockhampton, deep gorges, towering ridges or nearby national park.

Essential Criteria

To be eligible for the role, you must have a specialist registration with AHPRA and fellowship with RACGP or equivalent along with full working rights.
