Locum VR GP - Regional Victoria

• $1600 paid daily plus travel, car & accommodation

The Opportunity

Working alongside the permanent GP’s, this clinic is associated with the local health service and has provided care to the small country town since 2005. With a primarily ageing population, this welcoming service caters for all ages and backgrounds, with 15-minute standard consultation times offered and longer appointments available where necessary. Due to the associations with the local health service, along with joining the other GP’s in the clinic, there are GP VMO or ED doctors providing cover in the local hospital as well. Within the clinic itself, there is full nursing support including a chronic disease nurse.

They would require 2 weeks of commitment as a minimum with various dates available from August onwards. On occasions you may be rostered to help out with one of the Aboriginal outreach clinics for one afternoon in the week.

The Location

Based on the banks of the Snowy River, this early settlers town is surrounded by national parks, forests and beaches. You will see dramatic coastlines, sheltered bays, and endless golden beaches at Cape Conran Coastal Park, or you can recharge at one of the town’s cafes and bakeries.

MM5 location. This location qualifies for additional financial incentives through the Workforce Incentive Program (WIP). Essential criteria

• FACRRM/FRACGP or VR qualifications 

• Unrestricted AHPRA Specialist Registration

• Working with Children Check

• Evidence of influenza vaccine

• Full working rights
