Locum VR GP - UCC work across the weekends

• $220 per hour on a Friday, $250 per hour on Saturday and Sunday

The Opportunity

Open for 7 days per week this UCC, situated at the rear of the GP clinic, is looking for additional support across Friday – Sunday. Working as the sole GP alongside a triage nurse, the clinic consists of the triage area, a 3-bed treatment space and an isolation room. With Best Practice software in use, a full age range of patients are seen from zero to the elderly and with average patient numbers ranging around 17-25 per day. Patients are carefully triaged and are mainly level 4 & 5 acute rather then emergency cases. There is a direct pathway to the ambulatory and local hospital services if patients who are too emergent do attend the clinic.

With $220 per hour paid per weekday and $250 per hour paid at weekends, the hours the clinic is open is from 8am – 8pm on a Friday and from 10am – 7pm on the Saturday and Sunday. A KM allowance and accommodation can also be provided.

Essential Criteria

You must have AHPRA specialist registration to practice as General Practitioner as well as RACGP fellowship or equivalent. Ideally you must have prior experience working in the UCC or ED setting as well as a valid first aid certificate. Full working rights are also required.
