The opportunity

This hospital is a 326-bed Upper Secondary hospital serving a population base of 220,000 people. The position offers exposure to general antenatal and intra-partum care, as well as comprehensive general gynaecology. The role also provides interested candidates with supervised scanning time at a local private ultrasound facility.

There are two O & G registrar core trainee positions to which trainees are allocated by the New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. There is also one position available for a senior advanced trainee. There are five non-training Registrar positions available.

There are eight Senior House Officer positions for which attachments can be of three-month or six-month duration. RMOs completing six-month attachments are eligible to complete the O & G Diploma.

There are ten Consultant Obstetricians & Gynaecologists.

Essential criteria
