Where turquoise bays meet top-tier medicine (and your patients might bring you fresh-caught fish).
If you’re a GP who loves variety, community, and coastal living, St Helens might just be your next great move. It’s Tassie’s largest town on the east coast — but still small enough that the barista knows your coffee order (and your dog’s name). At Ochre Medical Centre St Helens, we combine high-quality general practice with the relaxed rhythm of seaside living. We’re looking for a Rural Generalist to join our friendly, established team. Full-time preferred, but part-time works too — let’s chat.
The Role:
You’ll work with a close-knit team of GPs, nurses, and admin staff, supported by St Helens District Hospital and a strong local allied health network. The practice runs standard weekday hours, and GPs take part in a rotating on-call roster for hospital coverage.
What’s On Offer
- $2000 site visit grant for eligible applicants through the People Project
- Accommodation provided worth $35k
- Guaranteed daily rate per on-call shift (regardless of callouts)
- Rural Medical Practitioner payments for hospital work
- Eligible for:
- RVTS
- ACRRM Independent Pathway
- WIP & Rural Procedural Grants
- DPA & MMM5 location
- House provided
- Mixed billing, fully accredited practice
- Daily pathology on-site
- Local x-ray and visiting specialists
- Best Practice software
- Excellent CDM program and experienced RN support
