Rural Generalists are encouraged to pick up regular locum blocks throughout the year at this well-run facility. Regardless of the longevity and number of blocks you choose in this historic mining town, you will quickly become an integral part of the clinical team providing essential healthcare services. Working with 2 other GPs and an excellent multi-disciplinary team you will be very well supported by the friendly and collegiate team. With all practice sessions; emergency cover; ward rounds and on-call (1:3) shared across the service, rest assured that you will receive adequate rest periods.

Why we're here

We’re here because 22 years ago two doctors working in outback NSW saw first-hand hospitals struggling to keep up with patient demand. They contacted their colleagues and asked them to help. The need for doctors continued to grow and running out of friends they could ask, our co-founders, Dr Hamish Meldrum and Dr Ross Lamplugh established Ochre Recruitment.

Today, our purpose remains the same as it was in 2002. To help provide quality healthcare to communities across Australia and New Zealand, no matter their postcode. This is why we are here.

If you share the same belief,  join our network of remarkable doctors and together we can work towards keeping communities healthy.
